ASHLEY MUELLER

FOUNDER AND ART DIRECTOR

Ashley was born in the Pacific Northwest. Her love for nature, hiking and exploring was the start to her floral design career. Ashley attended the Art Institute of Portland where she studied fashion. Once she left the beautiful Northwest and moved to Oakland she realized her love for fashion was not as strong as she hoped. Pondering the idea of which career path to take she quickly remembered her favorite job. In 2004, she worked in a local market where she looked over fresh flowers. It was no shock that working with natural beautiful plants was meant to be. Ashley reached out to her favorite floral design studio in the Bay Area in 2014 for an internship. Quickly she was learning and loving every moment and Ash + Oak began. When Ashley is not working with flowers or cuddling with her pups she is hiking, dancing or thrifting for unique wedding and event decor pieces.

Katie Reisman

DESIGNER AND MARKETING

Katie was born and raised in L.A. She moved to the Bay Area after studying marketing in Canada. Katie wandered through a few careers until she stumbled into Ash + Oak's 6 month pop up in the Tenderlion of SF. Only a few seconds into the interview Katie and Ashley quickly became a team. Katie brings the business side Ash needed, but her true love is behind the flowers working her magic.

Ash + Oak Floral

WHO WE ARE

At Ash + Oak we hand-pick all of our flowers from the San Francisco flower market using the freshest flowers each season has to offer. We do not import any flowers as each season has its own beautiful flowers to choose from. All of our arrangements are custom designed to fit your vision. We take pride in creating UNIQUE lush arrangements with design influences from ikebana and modern styles. From romantic and soft, to wild and colorful, or modern and edgy, the sky is really the limit when it comes to our designs.

Don't have a vision but want something unique and beautiful? We'd love to help. Creating inspiration boards, taking field trips to the flower market and arranging mock bouquets are a great way to find inspiration and edit ideas. We will work with you every step of the way to bring your vision to life. We will take all the stress of designing your dream wedding, so you can set back and enjoy your engagement. All you will have to do is show up and your wedding will be styled out. Though our company is far from traditional, we are always happy to work with you to find innovative ways to incorporate some old school flavor!

Not only are we passionate about flowers, but we also believe that your wellness on the big day should be top priority. Hiring us allows you and your family and friends to be present and enjoy the day with one another. We don't want anyone running around trying to set up centerpieces and placing candles on the tables while missing those heartfelt moments before you walk down the aisle. Your wedding day is a huge investment and we want you to capture every second.

Ash + Oak supports the LGBTQ community! We believe love is for everyone and we are here to help you embrace your love!

Going into our 5th season we can now be found in two locations in Northern California. Our main studio is in Oakland and our mini studio and workshop space is in Nevada City. Ash + Oak will travel anywhere for your event or wedding. So far, we have traveled to Vermont, Mexico, Washington, and Oklahoma to design one of a kind floral art. Our bags are pack and we are ready to hit the ROAD!
