wedding season

LOOKING BACK ON 2018

Wow what a year! This year we took on less weddings because we wanted to focus on weddings that were truly our style and who we are and I think we nailed it. There isn’t one wedding this year I wouldn’t post or rave about.

If you are a wild, moody, alternative, modern, crazy, one of kind, daredevil, adventurous COUPLE, we are your florist. We don't copy the trends on Pinterest, we are create the new trends. Our brides this year have given us more power to do want we want and trust me it was worth it. Take a look for yourself....

AUTUMN MOOD

Fall autumn is my favorite time of the year. I love watching the colors change from green to orange to red. If I ever decide to get married I would defiantly elope in the fall. Something about an Indian Summer and the dead leaves really wins me over. These mood board are inspiration for my dream elopement.

EARTHY FEELS

Being an Earth sign I always gravitate to earthy tones and textures. I wonder how many Earth signs are florists? If I am not surrounded by natural elements I tend to freak out. I tried living in the desert which lasted for about a year before I realized I needed to be around water and greenery. Below are a few things I am inspired by.

AMY + SETH

Amy and Seth got hitched in Amy's parents backyard however this was no backyard wedding. They had amusement park games, an old timey photo booth and a shot gun wedding cake. They went all out! When we first met Amy and Seth I fell in love with them. They were funny, silly and were not stressed at all about getting married. You could fell the love. They also tried to steal Wiley. They had so much love to share. Wiley sat on Seth's lap during the entire mock up meeting. If I remember correctly Seth tried to smuggle Wiley out of the studio in his jacket.

HANNAH + TOMMY

The sun was shinning on this beautiful day in Mendocino but it couldn't beat the BEAM that Hannah had on her wedding day. Hannah and Tommy have been together over 10 years and finally decided to tie the knot in front of there friends and family before they moved to Seattle to finish medical school. We couldn't be happier to be a part of this lovely couple's day.

2017 TO 2018 TRENDS

We couldn't be more happy that dried elements are making a scene. We collect dried goods year around and store them in our studio when the perfect opportunity arises. We have been sneaking bits and pieces into our bridal bouquets this year.  Our addiction to dried floral started last spring when we created a giant dried bouquet for a boudoir shoot at Point Reyes.

We think in 2018 you will see more dried pieces throughout the year and plenty next fall. Beware 2018 brides because I will sneaking some into your bouquets, boutonnières, centerpieces and your installations. Below we created a few mood boards of what to expect.
