OFFSEASON
During the slow month, I love to practice and play with new shapes and colors. This year I am pushing my self to work with colors I don’t usually gravitate to such as purple or pink. Anything purple reminds me of an old lady because my grandmother had an all purple bathroom.
Plus, the offseason has some of the best flowers. My fav hellebore, sweet peas, and ranunculus are all in season, which means they are 1/2 the price and affordable. Below are a few examples I have been playing with, I hope you like it!
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
During the slow season, aka January and February excluding the week of Valentine’s Day, we are glued to our computers. Yes, we are slow, but that doesn’t mean we have 8 weeks off to lay around. We spend our days filled with emails, proposals, client meetings, calls, and site visits. I swear I work harder in the offseason than peek wedding season, ok that's a lie, but it’s mentally draining than physical.
