FALL FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS

Wow, we can’t believe it already falls. I feel like it was just Valentine’s day. Friendsgiving is my favorite, mostly the food and hosting my fav people in the world, but the third reason is to decorate the table. Before I was a florist, I loved styling out the table, but now I have these fantastic floral design skills, our tables look even more over the top.

This year we were apart of a beautiful photoshoot, and here are some ideas and tips for your holiday table.

1st tip: Forage outside for maple, oak, and other fall foliage. Trust me no need to waste money at Trader Joes or Whole Foods on greenery. The best greenery will come from your backyard or along your dog walk plus it will have the natural tones of fall.

Idea #2: Use fruits and other food elements. Nothing says welcome to fall like a pumpkin, squash or permission. But don’t leave out pomegranate, citrus, and nuts!

Tip #3: Don’t get stuck on orange as your only color of choice. Fall has a wide variety of tones such as red, brown, tan, and multiple shades green — Mix gray linen with any of these colors for a modern Holiday vibe.

Idea #4: Skip the cornucopia and use bud vases with a few flowers you can purchase at TJ’s or forage outside. Keep it simple.

Tip # 5: Places we love to buy our plates, silverware, and candleholders at Ikea, CB2 and West Elm. They always have a modern twist on Holiday that you can use again. I feel like Pottery Barn is rustic and leans too much on the Holiday side, so you will be storing these goodies until next year.

Tip #6: Mixing grocery store flowers such as roses, mums, and carnations with dried flowers you can score at Micheal’s will impress your guest to the max.

Idea #7: Don’t use flowers at all and mix leaves and pumpkins. If you’re in California, forage some good old pampas grass.

Idea #8: Don’t put anything on the table and save the space but hang a branch from the ceiling. It’s super easy, and all you need is fishing wire.

Tip #9: Hire someone to do it for you if you want to be the coolest hostess.

Tip #10: Eat until your pants don’t fit
